Project Data:

Extension of the U6 North including station Garching. Section length appr. 2290 m, cut and cover method with sloped excavation pits in open ground; highway crossing, stations and parts of tunnels by mining techniques under compressed air.

Station tunnels: length appr. 120 m, overburden appr. 17 m, width of platform 3,75 m.

Access buildings between station tunnels with bored piles, connection via cross-drifts, additional cross-drifts for ventilation.

Tunnels situated in tertiary sands, silts and clays.
