Construction of tram tunnels by mined methods below "Kaiserstraße" and between "Durlacher Tor" and "Mühlberger Tor".

Overburden in some parts less than 6 m, tunnels completely below ground water level.

Stations with cut and cover method, tunnels shield driven with segmental lining.
